  4. Get executive sponsorship that lasts. AI projects need air cover through the messy middle period. A sponsor who will defend the initiative during inevitable setbacks is essential.
  5. Partner wisely. Work with implementation partners who have actually deployed similar solutions in production, not just built demos.
